My Story
I have over 15 years experience working in the social sector. Starting out as a volunteer youth worker while I was at university, I quickly moved to become an assistant project manager at a local homeless charity. I then moved to work as a community support worker, followed by an extended period of time at a local Children and Youth Mental Health Charity. After being there for around 8 years, I started on my counselling training journey. I moved jobs to work for a local Emotion Coaching and AP organisation and now spend my time between a local counselling charity and my own private work.
During my early adult years I was diagnosed with a chronic physical illness which has been with me ever since. This has had a significant impact on my life and has played a role in shaping who I am today. Chronic illness is very close to my heart, so if you or someone you know is struggling with this it would be my pleasure to create space for you and walk alongside you on this journey.
Youth work is another area which is dear to my heart having worked in the industry for over 10 years. I have completed my Level 5 Certificate in Counselling Children and Young People and I have now progressed to a Diploma In Counselling Children and Young People which is currently ongoing.
I have a passion to work with men’s mental health. I’m talking anger, shame, past emotional pain and current reoccurring cycles of behaviour and trauma which just keep coming around and you cannot seem to be able to shift them and find a path forward. Peace is an underrated emotional commodity, however I believe this is something we are all hoping to find more of. Whether this is in ourselves or in our relationships and lives.
I also have experience working with neurodiversity, ranging from autism, ADHD and many others. Whether you're neuro-typical or neuro-spicey I want to give you space to find your way forward.
I am also LGBTQ+ affirming and due to my previous work have a lot of experience in this area.

Boundaries and Ethics
I work within clear professional and ethical boundaries and am a registered member of the BACP and the NCPS.
I attend regular supervision and engage in ongoing professional development to support safe, reflective, and ethical practice. Counselling sessions are confidential, and any limits to confidentiality will be explained clearly at the beginning.
At the start of our work together, we will agree a therapeutic contract that sets out boundaries, expectations, and practical arrangements.
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
I am committed to offering counselling that is inclusive, respectful, and sensitive to difference.
My work is grounded in anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive values, with an understanding of how culture, identity, power, and social context can shape life’s experiences.
I aim to create a space where people of all backgrounds and lived experiences are met with dignity, curiosity, and care, while continuing to reflect on my own learning and position as part of ethical practice.
